Parking in the community is an increasing problem. We ask parents to consider local residents and park your car well away from school and walk in with your child. This will ease congestion around the school entrance and ensure the safety of the children.
Our school car park is for staff only. We encourage children and parents to walk or cycle to school where possible, but parents should not use the staff car park to drop off or collect their children, and the school entrance should not be used as a turning circle. The roads and pavements immediately outside our school get very busy at the start and end of the school day. For the safety of all the children and pedestrians parents are requested not to block driveways or park illegally e.g. on the zigzags or yellow lines.
The safety of the children as of paramount importance.
Living Streets' Walk to School campaign reaches over 13 million people, making it one of the UK’s leading behaviour change campaigns for young people. They work directly with over 750,000 children in 2,000 schools and every year thousands more take part in the national schemes and events we run. As a school we take part in Walk to School week every year.
