Overview of our Ofsted Report (January 2015)


We are delighted to have gained Good in our last Ofsted inspection. We continued with our Good Grade from 2010. The pupils are enthused by learning and life within a lively community that reflects positive values and parents greatly appreciate the school’s work typically saying, ‘we provide a caring, supportive environment to educate the pupils.’


We were good in the following areas:


 1Leadership and Management

Clipstone Brook is an exceptionally caring school community that goes to great lengths to support pupils and their families so that pupils can learn well.


  1. Behaviour

Excellent systems are in place to ensure that pupils are safe in school


  1. Quality of Teaching

Teaching shows high expectations and engaging lessons, and it enables pupils to make good progress and achieve well.


  1. Achievement

Achievement is good. Pupils make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics.


  1. Early Years

Most children make good progress in the Nursery and Reception classes and are well prepared for learning in Year 1.
